Localise Ayrshire is a community website for the people of Ayrshire.

Localise Ayrshire's aim is to address problems now, that will result from reduced energy supplies and the subsequent effect this will have on everyday requirements such as food, energy and public services.

Localise Ayrshire's function is to connect local companies, organisations, political leaders and individuals whose services are more important to us now than we have ever realised.

Localise Ayrshire recognises the difficulties being caused to domestic households and businesses by rising energy costs, costs that will continue to rise (despite recent short-term reductions), thus requiring a change in perception and lifestyle choices. By focusing on the effects of global environmental and energy issues on our local community, we can positively build a more stable infrastructure with the resources Ayrshire already has, therefore creating a local economy that is sustainable for future generations.

Localise Ayrshire's hope is to see local farming, forestry, sustainable energy and political resources developed effectively for the good of Ayrshire. Further, if this can be achieved, it is hoped that this initiative be embraced by the rest of Scotland.
